Reverse Confetti: You're the Berry Best!

We're having another warm summer in the pacific northwest although as I type this post up it is overcast...I LOVE days like today.  I'm definitely a fair weather girl, that's why I've always loved the pacific northwest but the summers are getting warmer around here (sigh).

One of the things I love about the summer is all the delicious fruit.  I'm a professed fruitarian.  As I work on moving towards being dairy free, I do love treats that are healthy and lactose free.

The new Reverse Confetti Berry Sweet is such a CUTE set!  I used the confetti cuts on felt I had in my stash.  The sentiment is from the Berry Sweet stamp set.

It seems that I'm on an aqua kick, can't get enough of that color.  My card uses the Reverse Confetti Iced Aqua and RC Aqua.

The Heart Desires featuring Doodlebug Design - Cream & Sugar

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I'm up on The Heart Desires blog and I'm sharing a total of 4 cards!  Here's a sneak peek at two of them:

I love quick cards and nothing makes things quicker than using a paper collection.  Today I'm featuring the Doodlebug Design Cream & Sugar collection.

I started with the Cream & Sugar 6x6 paper pad.  I added some of their Cardstock Stickers and finished it off with a sentiment from the Flora & Fauna Texture stamp set.  Don't you love the Donuts Mini Doodle-pops?!

Something else that helps inspire me are challenges.  Make sure you check out the current The Heart Desires Challenge:

I was able to use a bunch of the colors...super easy.

These cards were also inspired by the current Fusion Card Challenge (sketch):

Something else that inspires me is a SALE:

Okay, I have 2 additional cards up on The Heart Desires blog for you to check out!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

Hero Arts: have a beautiful day

One of my all time favorite Hero Arts floral sets is CL949 You're so Lovely.

I combined the images with the following Distress Oxide colors:

Peacock Feather  •  Abandoned Coral  •  Twisted Citron

I thought I was being so careful when I used the Black Soot and my saturated paintbrush for the splatters...hmm, there were splatters all over my workspace..ugh.  I was even working inside a box.

The background is smooshed with the Abandoned Coral on an acrylic block spritzed with water.  Do you see the smidge of Pool Mix Layering Paper?

Here's to an awesome week!

Stampin' Up: Coffee Cafe Hi

One of my FAVorite Coffee Collections is the Stampin' Up Coffee Cafe stamp set + Coffee Break Designer paper.  They really outdid themselves with that...I super love it.

This has minimal stamping, just the Hi.  I fussy cut the images from one of the sheets of Designer Paper...they're so much fun, aren't they?

The Heart Desires featuring Flora & Fauna...congratulations

So the summer is literally flying by and I have so much NBUS that it is embarrassing.  I have been looking at a bunch of new Flora & Fauna that I picked up from The Heart Desires.  The perfect time to whip up two 'New Home' cards!

I did a feminine and masculine version!   First up is the masculine version:

Starting with a black note card, I layered a vellum panel and then an oval text panel.  The Flora & Fauna glass dome was cut twice, once in black for the pedestal and another time in white.  Although it doesn't look like it, the house from the Flora & Fauna Glass Dome stamp set has been stamped, colored and fussy cut.  I used the Flora & Fauna Texture stamp set with Distress Oxide Inks for a funky sunset.

The sentiment is from an Altenew set that I had in my stash.  I hit the corner of the card with some star washi tape.

Next up is my feminine version:

Who doesn't love nautical?  I'm so glad that the trend is still going strong.  I layered some Authentique paper from my stash along with a vellum panel and the same Altenew sentiment.  The Flora & Fauna glass dome was cut twice, once in black for the pedestal and another time in white. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil in Broken China Distress Oxide.  The mermaid is from the Flora & Fauna Under the Sea stamp set.  I've stamped and colored her with Zig Clean Color Markers.

Hero Arts: Sweet Birthday Wishes

Happy National Ice Cream Day!  Here in the Pacific Northwest we're having another warm summer.  Although this morning is overcast,  today is suppose to get to 71 degrees, perfect in my book.  I think warm weather and ice cream are made for each other, don't you agree?

Any other Matcha Green Tea fans?!  Oh I love that stuff in any form...soft serve ice cream?!  Yes, Please!  I had fun with the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream set!

The ice cream is made of Green Hills + Lime Green.  The cone is Soft Vanilla + Soft Brown.

I used the Rectangle Infinity Dies on the striped panel.  I used Peerless Watercolors for the stripes.  The sentiment has been stamped with Chalkboard dye ink on a Foliage panel.  It started off as a circle, with the help of the Circle Infinity Dies but I decided it was too tall so I layered a Rectangle Infinity die on top of it and made a more design friendly shape!
